"Thief" is the first single to come out of Briand's partnership with Minneapolis-based prog metal band The Broken Rule. A good follow up to "Song to the Fascist", the track addresses the thieving of peoples rights by fascist administrations, told from the perspective of one who knows how to recognize historical patterns of white supremacist abuse and who does not stand fooled by the lies and propaganda that come with it. The cover art depicts Elon Musk, standing on a pile of gold, devoured by the demons of greed.

"Song to the Fascist" is Briand doing the early Dave Grohl thing. He is the whole rock ensemble in this track. Betting Trump would win the elections, Briand pushed himself to make sure the song would be symbolically released on Election Day, as an antifa statement. He spent the entire last night of mixing completely awake, polishing the song. He sent it to his producer in the early morning, and went straight to work. There was no sleep that night. He considers the song to be his love letter to Rage Against The Machine.

"Santa Closet" is a 2-track release originating as a songwriting workshop challenge. Assigned to write a Christmas song in a genre that is different than his usual style, Briand made it an anti-consumerist anti LGBTQ hate country folk raunchy tune and won third place. Side B, "Playing With Knives", is an ode to Briand's favorite French singer songwriter, Serge Gainsbourg. Using kitchen knives as a rhythmic sample, the song playfully addresses the many stereotypes Briand has collected against the French.

The 3-song EP marks the end of Cedric Briand and Jeenti Dutta's creative collab. The album was supposed to contain two new tracks, a brand new Steven Wilson inspired psychedelic song sampling producer Jeenti Dutta's daughter's heartbeat in utero and a remaster of "Song to the Fascist". But as Dutta got increasingly busier with other acts and projects, Briand chose to release the EP as is. Dutta took the time to remaster the song "Born of the Same" for the release.

"Queen of All the Animals" is a fusion of lo-fi samples, Funk rock, R&B, and Latin congas. The song explores themes such as innocence, imagination, coming of age, female empowerment and trans species psychology. Inspired by Briand's daughter, the song is also not-so-secretly about himself, the traits of character he recognizes in her. Most of the lyrical content has been inspired by the front cover art and its symbolic significance.

"Skies & Grain" is reminiscent of 90's grunge, odd time signature prog metal, politically engaged rock/rap, and dream rock. The song addresses the war in Ukraine and is critical of Russia's invasion. Producer Jeenti Dutta made use of ambient samples recalling battle situations, like radio static, and most notably, the air raid siren which blasted over Kiev on February 24. Briand used the song to raise money for the UNICEF.

"Born of the Same" marks the beginning of Jeenti's collaboration with Greenvale Manitou. The song incorporates British sounding rock guitars, elements of dream rock, produced modern hip-hop, ambient samples, and acoustic percussion. It deals with the reckonings many of us have been going through during the pandemic, the urge to reconnect with the elements, and with ourselves. It was a fresh and defining experience for Briand.
